Get Your Own Lancer Replica With The Gears Of War 4: Loot Crate Edition

If you're intending to pick up Gears of War 4 when it launches on October 11, you'll probably want to give this special edition a quick look before you place your pre-order for a standard one. If you’re intending to pick up Gears of War 4 when it launches on October 11, you’ll probably want to give this special edition a quick look before you place your pre-order for a standard one. In a similar vein to the commemorative Halo Legendary Crate announced previously, another first-party Microsoft studio is teaming up with Loot Crate to give fans some special goodies they can’t get anywhere else.

The Coalition’s community director Adam Fletcher has confirmed via Microsoft’s Xbox Wire blog that they’ve partnered with the gamer culture website to create a Gears of War 4: Loot Crate Edition which, among many other things, comes with a replica Lancer weapon as well as a digital copy of the third-person shooter.

Fletcher says of the collaboration that:

For the first time ever, Loot Crate and The Coalition have partnered to make the ultimate fan experience with a limited-quantity crate of awesome (and exclusive) Gears of War swag coinciding with the upcoming release of Gears of War 4 for Xbox One and Windows 10.

The Gears of War 4: Loot Crate Edition will include a digital copy of the standard game, a Lancer replica weapon, and more awesome COG sanctioned swag to bring the Gears of War 4 universe into real life. Each item is modeled after the beginning of a new saga in the Gears of War universe and we are thrilled to be able to offer the community an exclusive opportunity to jump into a great selection of awesome swag built for fans.

You can purchase the bundle with or without the digital game code for prices starting from $74.99 all the way up to $129.99, but we imagine they’ll go quick, so you’ll probably want to get your pre-order in sooner rather than later.

Don’t forget either that, like all first-party Microsoft titles released from now on, Gears of War 4 will be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, so your digital code will enable you to play on both console and PC. Lastly, just in case you really needed any more incentive to buy Gears of War 4 digitally, all previous games in the series will be included along with the code for this year’s iteration.
