In the wake of its adorable reveal during E3 last week, the studio behind LittleBigPlanet 3 has revealed that the third entry in the world-building franchise will release for PlayStation 3 as well as PlayStation 4.

Taking to Twitter, the game’s community co-ordinator, Steven Isbell, confirmed that LBP 3 is also headed to PS3, and hinted that more information about the last-gen iteration will appear in due time.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is currently in the works at Sumo Digital, the studio who introduced the cross-controller DLC to the second entry into the series, while also having experience with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Looking to their latest project, though, players will have the opportunity to transfer any user-generated environments from LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2 when the game launches in November.

As for the PlayStation 3 version of the game, however, it’s not clear if Sackboy & Oddsock will weave their way onto Sony’s last-gen console day and date. Nevertheless, we can expect to hear more about its journey to PS3 in the coming weeks.

Though it’s without a specific release date at this time, it’s understood that LittleBigPlanet 3 will launch across PS4 sometime in November, 2014.
