Jasper Byrne announced yesterday that a port of his 2D side-scrolling horror game, Lone Survivor, is in development for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

London-based Curve Studios (the developers who created Fluidity, Hydroventure, and Explodemon) are working on the port, and have confirmed that they are planning to include both French and German translations in the game.

For those unfamiliar with Lone Survivor, the 2D survival horror indie game was released earlier this year on the PC and Mac. The title’s story centers around an unnamed protagonist (referred to as “You”) who sets out from the safety of his apartment to uncover the mystery behind a widespread infection that has turned everyone into mutated monsters. To make matters worse, the protagonist has a small hallucination problem and often has to deal with a host of imagined characters.

Byrne did not mention a possible release window or price for Lone Survivor. We will let you know as soon as more information is announced.
