Mass Effect: Andromeda Holds No.1 In UK Charts For Second Week Running

Mass Effect: Andromeda has once again secured pole position in the UK charts, having now spent two weeks at No.1. BioWare's sci-fi RPG has denied Ghost Recon: Wildlands from retaking top spot after it held its position there for two weeks prior to the former's launch, although Ubisoft's open world tactical shooter still maintains a more successful launch period over Andromeda, itself currently the third-biggest of 2017.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has once again secured pole position in the UK charts, having now spent two weeks at No.1. BioWare’s sci-fi RPG has denied Ghost Recon: Wildlands from retaking top spot after it held its position there for two weeks prior to the former’s launch, although Ubisoft’s open world tactical shooter still maintains a more successful launch period over Andromeda, itself currently the third-biggest of 2017.

While it might be surprising to see the follow-up to Mass Effect 3 enjoying such success following its mixed critical reception and the highly-publicized controversies surrounding its animation quality, Andromeda‘s core gameplay is still a joy to experience if you can look past its flaws, many of which will hopefully be rectified soon, if BioWare’s message to fans last week is anything to go by.

As for the rest of the week’s most popular titles, Wildlands and LEGO Worlds remain unchanged at No.2 and No.3 respectively, with Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix being the only new entry at No.4. PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn experiences a notable drop from fourth down to sixth, while Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V once more maintains its hold of No.5. Playground Games and Turn 10’s Forza Horizon 3, on the other hand, drops out of the top ten completely, replaced with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
