Mass Effect: Andromeda's official launch trailer is here, giving fans one final look at the trials and tribulations that await the Pathfinder in a new and mysterious galaxy. Not that it's really surprising, given that BioWare's talent for cinematic quality in all its games has largely always been top-notch, but boy does Andromeda look pretty. From the various alien races to the interior of the Nomad and the Andromeda galaxy itself, the highly anticipated RPG looks set to not only meet all expectations but leave them in the dust.

All of the familiar faces – Krogan, Asari, Salarian – are present and accounted for in the trailer, which also provides another glimpse of Kett Archon, who doesn’t appear to be a particularly big fan of humans, especially those living aboard the Nomad.

If you’re intent on staying spoiler free in the run-up to Andromeda‘s release, you might want to skip this one, as the first few moments reveal, by way of narration, that the quest to find Golden Worlds for mankind to call home hasn’t exactly gone according to plan. It’s still unclear, but we assume as your job as Pathfinder, that you’ll be required to find some that aren’t just useless amalgamations of gas and rock.

But that’s enough gushing. You can check out the visual tour de force for yourselves above, before promptly realizing that you’ve still got over a week to go until your copy arrives.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. If you’re an Origin/EA Access member, you can get one step ahead of the curve by way of a 10-hour early access trial on March 16.
