When EA announced Mass Effect Trilogy last September the PC and Xbox 360 versions were both given a November 6th release date, while the PS3 version was scheduled for some unspecified “later date”. BioWare revealed today that “later date” is apparently the code word for “about a month”.

The PS3 version of Mass Effect Trilogy will be released on December 4, 2012 along with the original Mass Effect as a standalone title on the PlayStation Store. European PS3 owners can expect both those titles to hit their shores three days later on December 7th.

BioWare external producer Ryan Warden also cleared up the confusion surrounding the DLC for all three titles on the PS3 disc, saying:

“The PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect Trilogy will have the original Mass Effect with Bring Down the Sky integrated into the game, both on-disc and on the PSN download. Mass Effect 2 will still have the same DLC on-disc that it was originally shipped with: Cerberus Network; Kasumi; Overlord; and Lair of the Shadow Broker. Finally, Mass Effect 3 will also be exactly as it originally shipped.”

Mass Effect Trilogy will cost $59.99 on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. The original Mass Effect will be available on the PlayStation Store for $14.99 when it is released next month.
