In the wake of its tense, atmospheric demonstration during Sony’s press conference, Ready at Dawn has revealed that its upcoming Victorian-Era shooter, The Order: 1886, will launch exclusively for PlayStation 4 on February 20th, 2015. The studio announced the date via an all-new trailer, which hints at the game’s downright impressive visual standard.

Moreover, Ready at Dawn also unveiled a Collector’s Edition for The Order: 1886 ahead of release, replete with a variety of Victorian-themed collectibles, including a replica of the Knight’s pendant, exclusive artwork for the game and a hoard of in-game digital content. That additional chunk of gameplay will come in the form of the Knight’s Arsenal DLC, along with the official soundtrack for the dark and brooding title.

Previously, The Order: 1886 was scheduled to launch in the fall of 2014. However, in extending the development window by six months, Ready at Dawn aims to refine and polish the game overall and, undoubtedly, ensure that it isn’t a flash in the pan moment.

In terms of story, the PlayStation 4 exclusive will transport players to an alternative London. In fact, the game itself represents the studio’s revisionist take on the age-old Knights of the Round Table tale, with the titular order taking up arms in lieu of King Arthur. Stepping into the shoes of Galahad, gamers will take the fight to the monstrous half-breeds and put an end to the long-standing war.

The Order: 1886 is Ready at Dawn’s much-anticipated third-person shooter, which is now poised to launch for PS4 on February 20th, 2015. Plenty of time to study the dark arts of lycanthrophy in preparation, right?
