Mortal Kombat X Brings The Gore With New Trailer For Kombat Pack 2

Lo and behold, the trailer is back for everyone to gawk at and boy, do Kombat Pack 2's new fighters look great. First up is Leatherface who, much like Jason Vorhees, is being borrowed from his own iconic film series to partake in a bit of fun. Second is MK native Bo Rai Cho, who utilises the Drunken Fist fighting style and a bit of flatulence to topple his opponents.

Alien, Leatherface, Tri-Borg and Bo Rai Cho are the four new characters headed to Mortal Kombat X as part of the game’s second DLC pack due out this year, and each looks more awesome than the last. Publisher Warner Bros. released the trailer yesterday on YouTube before promptly taking it down soon after, but MKX creator Ed Boon took to Twitter soon after to say that it would be back up today.

Third is Tri-Borg, who undoubtedly looks the most interesting. Combining the iconic cyborg characters Cyrax, Sektor and Cyborg Smoke into a single character slot is a big risk for NetherRealm to take, considering the popularity of all three, but we’ll see if the move pays off. He certainly looks great in the trailer.

Finally, there’s Alien (or the Xenomorph, if that’s what you prefer), from the film series of the same name, but MK X’s version looks a little different. This version has taken on the traits of Baraka, hence the giant blades jutting out of the Alien’s arm. Expect lots of slashing and biting from this crime against nature.

NetherRealm haven’t announced a release or start date for Mortal Kombat X‘s Kombat Pack 2 just yet, but we can’t imagine a firm window is far off – all four characters look finished and ready to enter the fray. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed either, but if it follows the first Kombat Pack, you’re looking at $30 for the lot of them.
