Scribblenauts Unlimited looks to bring the amazing formula it had on the DS to the Wii U this fall, along with PC and 3DS. However, Wii U players might find a special treat in their game, due to some special visitors.

5th Cell revealed today that they’ll be including the adorable interpretations of Mario and Zelda characters into the Wii U version of the game when it launches next month.

No word on exactly what they’ll be doing, but the art above should be just enough to tide players over until the game’s release.

This isn’t the first time characters from other universes have appeared in a Scribblenauts game. Gamers might remember that the Japanese version of Super Scribblenauts, published by Konami in Japan, had Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

As a big fan of the series, this is definitely welcome news and makes the wait for the game that much more unbearable.
