Roll7’s acclaimed side-scrolling skateboarding title, OlliOlli is currently targeting a July 22 launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Director Simon Bennett revealed the news to Den of Geek at this past weekend’s PAX East.

Originally released for the PlayStation Vita back in January, OlliOlli is a simple to control, but difficult to master skateboarding title with a colorful and unique look. While Roll7 will still be handling PC development duties for this port, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions will be done by Blitworks. This will not be the first time that the studio has stepped in to help out with ports, either, as they previously handled releases of Spelunky and Fez for the PlayStation family of consoles. Devolver Digital, who helped publish Hotline Miami, will handle publishing duties for PC version of the title.

I was interested in OlliOlli back when it was released in January, but since I don’t actually own a PlayStation Vita, I couldn’t try it out. It appears that waiting was the best course of action, however, as not only will I get to experience the game on a larger screen now, but it looks like the nasty bugs that plagued the original release should be cleaned up with these ports.

Are any of our readers interested in trying out Roll7’s unique take on skateboarding now that it will be available for a platform other than the PlayStation Vita? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
