After a successful debut earlier this year, Roll7 Games has announced that skateboard sim OlliOlli is getting a sequel in 2015. Titled OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood, the game will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Looking to improve upon its predecessor, OlliOlli2 will feature a variety of new features and upgrades. Notable additions this time around include the ability to further link tricks through manuals and reverts, split-route levels, grind switching, ramps and an enhanced grinding system. Perhaps the most intriguing addition, though, is a local four-player mode. Though it wasn’t elaborated on a whole lot, hopefully it will be as fun as the multiplayer found in the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise.

Although I haven’t had the chance to experience the sublime thrills of the original yet, I’m a little surprised that OlliOlli2 was already announced. It’s only been eight months since its predecessor launched, and although we don’t have an exact release date yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if it releases in early 2015. Regardless, I’m interested in seeing how Roll7 Games further advances their successful formula.

We will continue to update you on OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood in the coming months, so stay tuned.
