Can Your PC Handle Assassin's Creed: Syndicate?

Last month, Ubisoft Quebec whisked players off to Victorian London for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and by and large, the latest installment in the clandestine juggernaut helped cushion the blow of Unity and the wave of technical hitches it entailed late last year.

And so, buoyed by a wave of overly positive reviews, the studio is readying the PC version of Syndicate for a release in only a few weeks’ time, and in order to give budding early adopters a concise rundown of what to expect in terms of tech, Ubisoft has released the minimum and recommended PC specs for the Victorian adventure.

While additional anti-aliasing is reserved for the high-end rigs, the technical specifications below aren’t terribly intensive, and the minimum requirements ought to be compatible with the majority of mid-range PCs, lowering the entry point for any newcomer to the franchise on the platform.

Minimum:

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10(64bit versions)
Processor: Intel Core i5 2400s @ 2.5 GHz or AMD FX 6350 @ 3.9 GHz
RAM: 6GB or more for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 270 (2GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0)
DirectX: June 2010 Redistributable
Sound: DirectX compatible with latest drivers

Recommended:

OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64bit versions only)
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
RAM: 8GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (4GB) or the newer GTX 970 (4GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280X (3GB) or better
DirectX: June 2010 Redistributable
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible with latest drivers
Hard Drive: 50GB available space

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is already available via PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – check out our own thoughts here – as for PC platforms, Ubisoft has slated the port for a release on November 19.
