Despite the fact that Techland opted to postpone the European release date for Dying Light‘s physical versions, figures published by Chart-Track have revealed that the first-person parkour title has now outpaced than The Order: 1886 and Evolve in disc-based sales.

That feat was achieved during its second week on the market, considering that the well-received zombie game launched on February 27th due to a distribution error with the publisher. Nevertheless, buoyed by word of mouth, Dying Light has held on to the number one spot in the UK all-formats charts for the second consecutive week, holding off competition from the usual suspects: Grand Theft Auto V, FIFA 15 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Here’s this week’s top ten chart in full:

1) Dying Light
2) Grand Theft Auto V
3) FIFA 15
4) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
5) Dragon Ball Xenoverse
6) Minecraft: Xbox Edition
7) The Order: 1886
8) Zombie Army Trilogy
9) Evolve
10) Minecraft: PlayStation Edition

Undoubtedly, this is a significant coup for Techland, particularly when you consider that there was much more hype surrounding both The Order: 1886 and Evolve prior to release. Whether Dying Light can stretch this run into a third week, however, remains to be seen.

Perhaps in anticipation of Grand Theft Auto Online‘s long-awaited Heists, Rockstar Games’ GTA V inched back into the top three, where it will likely remain considering that the PC release is now little over a month away. Elsewhere, the recently-released Dragon Ball Xenoverse fell two places to fifth, while the fresh faced Zombie Army Trilogy made its debut in eighth place.
