Ubisoft has confirmed that its poignant World War I adventure title Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be available on Android devices from today, November 26.
Blending puzzle mechanics with a beautiful, melancholic score, the game will be released across four parts, with each installment costing $4 (the first is currently priced at $5). Alternatively, players can pick up the entire story for $9 and given the narrative-driven nature of Ubisoft Montpellier’s opus, we strongly recommend acquiring the series in its entirety.
Having already made its debut across consoles and indeed iOS earlier this year, critics heaped praise on Valiant Hearts for its powerful storytelling, which was told episodically as players jumped in between four different characters. It’s a tale about love, loss and, ultimately, human resilience amidst the most chaotic of circumstances.
In our glowing review, we praised the studio’s unique title for its ability to balance the jet-black nature of The Great War with some truly engaging puzzle mechanics.
With Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Ubisoft Montpellier has created something magical. That is, a game which manages to convey the seriousness of war, while also being creative and imaginative. All of this is done in an incredibly respectful manner; so much so that the game acts as both a teacher and an entertainer throughout its colourful narrative.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War is available on Android devices today, November 26, through Google Play and the Amazon App Store.
