QuakeCon Registration Opens To The Public Tonight

Starting on August 2nd and lasting through the 5th, the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas will be hosting the world’s largest bring-your-own-computer LAN party. It will give you a chance to frag your friends while proving that all of the extra LED lights on your rig were totally necessary.

One of the perks of this job is being able to go to conventions as press, basically fooling the entire world into thinking you’re doing something important. The fact that QuakeCon 2012 will be going on in my backyard only sweetens the deal since I’ll be able to actually go home to my own bed every day.

Registration starts later on tonight and, while the con is absolutely free to all attendee,s there are a few extra perks if you’re willing to drop a few bucks. You can register here once the countdown hits zero.

Pre-registration for QuakeCon will begin tonight at 7:00pm CST/8:00pm EST on http://registration.quakecon.org/.

QuakeCon, the ultimate video game festival, will take place on-site at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, TX. Doors to QuakeCon will open on Thursday, August 2nd at 9:00am Central and will remain open through August 5th.
