Flaunting the game’s awe-inspiring visuals as much as anything else, it’s a stunning vertical slice of Quantum Break, thrusting us into the shoes of one Jack Joyce.

Jack Joyce fights for survival in a world where time is broken. With his family in danger and the world at the brink of collapse, Jack must battle the evil Monarch Solutions using the only weapon he has: time itself. Set to a haunting cover of the iconic Nirvana track “Come As You Are,” this trailer immerses you in the time-bending experience of Quantum Break.

Releasing in tandem with a tie-in television series, both Microsoft and Remedy clearly have big plans for Quantum Break as a brand – even if the core plot underpinning those novel mechanics is about as cliché as they come.

It’s important to note too that, contrary to previous plans, the actual episodes of said adjacent drama won’t be included on the physical disc, and will instead have to be downloaded separately. The production values are certainly there, but will Quantum Break – both the show and its base game – have enough mileage to woo the naysayers?

Quantum Break arrives on April 5 when Remedy’s new IP will launch across Xbox One and PC.
