Ragnarok Odyssey might just scratch that itch that Vita owners have had for a decent RPG. The only downside is its newly announced release date happens to be on the otherwise busiest release day of the year, perhaps of the console generation.

October 30 will see the release of both the regular edition of the game, as well as the Mercenary Edition, which packs 10 random monster cards, a “mercenary guide” and the full soundtrack for an extra ten bucks.

Vita owners will no doubt want to look into this game. That is, if you’re not too busy with Assassin’s Creed III. Or Zone of the Enders HD. Or WWE ’13. Or Okami HD. Or Need for Speed: Most Wanted. All of which come out the same day.

Erm…Ragnarok, you may have your work cut out for you.
