Last week it was announced that the coveted Thieves Guild would be heading to The Elder Scrolls Online with an upcoming DLC pack. Today, Bethesda Softworks have unveiled new information as to how the Guild will be introduced into their Elder Scrolls MMO with an introductory trailer.

The trailer – which you can see above – introduces a new area of the Hammerfell region known as Hew’s Bane, which is where the action will commence. When you arrive, the Thieves Guild will apparently be in disarray and it will be up to you to get the skulking heists back on track. This is a great contrast to the way the Guild is introduced in the two most recent Elder Scrolls titles, where you’re joining a strong group as a fledgling crook.

In The Elder Scrolls Online, the onus will be on you to be the hero of the Thieves Guild as you “rebuild the guild and restore its honour.” Along the way, you’ll be able to pick up some gorgeous new gear and new abilities along an entirely fresh skill line.

And while the action may start off in Hew’s Bane, it’s not limited to that relatively small area. The Thieves Guild DLC Pack introduces quests all across Tamriel, so you can put your sneaky new abilities to good use on familiar territory as well.

The Thieves Guild expansion will start to arrive for The Elder Scrolls Online from March 7th for PC players, and will be available two weeks later if you’re playing on a console. It will be free for anyone with an active ESO Plus membership, while it’ll cost 2,000 Crowns in the ESO Crown store otherwise.
