Relive The Very Best Of LucasArts With This Star Wars Humble Bundle

As things stand, 2015 is shaping up to be a defining year for the Star Wars IP. Now that the galactic franchise and all of its wonderful assets are under the control of Disney, the studio is set to give the ailing series a new lease of life when J.J. Abrams whisks moviegoers to a galaxy far, far away with The Force Awakens in December, not to mention DICE's third-person take on Battlefront.

As things stand, 2015 is shaping up to be a defining year for the Star Wars IP. Now that the galactic franchise and all of its wonderful assets are under the control of Disney, the studio is set to give the ailing series a new lease of life when J.J. Abrams whisks moviegoers to a galaxy far, far away with The Force Awakens in December, not to mention DICE’s third-person take on Battlefront.

So, what better way to prepare for the future of the beloved franchise than to cast an eye back to some of the most seminal Star Wars video games? Thankfully, the most recent Humble Bundle has provided players with such an option, with all funds donated going to Unicef.

As is the case with all of the company’s enticing sales, users can pay whatever amount the like to unlock the first tier of LucasArt projects, which include Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Star Wars: Dark Forces. Not satisfied with all of that space-faring goodness? Fear not, shelve out more than the average asking price and you’ll gain access to Star Wars Republic Commando, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, and Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Pay upwards of $12 and you’ll open up Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, and Star Wars Empire at War: Gold Pack plus all of those titles already mentioned. As we alluded to earlier, this Humble Bundle is certainly one of the best to date.

In fact, at the time of writing, the company has announced that the Star Wars bundle has sold over 144,000 units, raking in a staggering $1.6 million. And that’s all before Humble Bundle adds more video games to the digital offering in the coming days.

Tell us, are you as excited as we are to delve back into LucasArts’ prestigious archive of Star Wars games?
