Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X Has Infected PSN And Xbox LIVE

The Resident Evil vault has opened, spewing out another digital concoction infected by the deadly T-Virus. That would be Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X, which is making its debut on current generation consoles as a downloadable title. It's now available for download for $20, updated with gory high-definition graphics. This complements last week's release of Resident Evil 4 HD.

The Resident Evil vault has opened, spewing out another digital concoction infected by the deadly T-Virus. That would be Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X, which is making its debut on current generation consoles as a downloadable title. It’s now available for download for $20, updated with gory high-definition graphics. This complements last week’s release of Resident Evil 4 HD.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition has also been added to the PlayStation Network service, available for digital distribution at a price of $29.99. Needless to say, there are a lot of digital infected (or zombies) needing to be taken care of.

Beginning today, Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X is available for download on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Games on Demand. This release denotes the first time that the game will be available in high definition and have support for Trophies and Achievements.

Three months after the total destruction of Raccoon City, Claire Redfield is still in search of her missing brother Chris. While investigating an Umbrella facility in Paris, Claire is captured and transported to the remote Rockfort Island, where she awaits her death. Claire is thrust back into the world of survival horror once again when an inexplicable air raid hits the island, freeing Claire and accidentally releasing t-virus samples and B.O.W.s.

Joining Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X on PSN beginning October 4 is Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition. Chris Redfield returns as the Resident Evil hero and heads to Africa where the latest bioterrorism threat is literally transforming the people and animals of the city into mindless, maddened creatures. Joining forces with a new partner, Sheva Alomar, the two must work together to discover the truth behind this evil plot. This special edition contains the full retail game along with two additional episodes (“Lost In Nightmares” and “Desperate Escape”), two costume packs, and “The Mercenaries Reunion” mode.

Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X is rated “M for Mature” by the ESRB and is available for purchase for $19.99 or 1600 Microsoft points. Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be available on PSN starting October 4th for $29.99. Resident Evil 5 is currently available on Xbox LIVE Games on Demand with additional “gold” content available as DLC. The game is rated “M for Mature” by the ESRB.

Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X and Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be available alongside the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Games on Demand version of Resident Evil 4 which launched September 20th.
