A new trailer for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 has revealed Capcom’s targeted release date for the game’s first episode as being February 17, 2015.
Bearing the disturbing tagline of “A father’s mission/A daughter’s only hope,” this new look at Revelations 2 is all about Barry Burton and his search for his missing daughter, Moira. Barry’s campaign will only be one of two, though, and each episode will apparently switch between the two at different points. The other will actually feature Moira herself, as she encounters spooky creatures with Claire Redfield at her side.
It’s important to note that, as with Telltale’s episodic games, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will not release on the same day across all platforms. In fact, only Sony’s PlayStation consoles will receive the first episode on February 17th, while Steam, Xbox 360 and Xbox One will receive the debut chapter the very next day. Additionally, it’s also been mentioned that the weekly series will conclude its four-episode run on March 10th and 11th.
