Piranha Bytes has taken the teaser route, in an attempt to generate more pre-release buzz for its upcoming RPG, Risen 3: Titan Lords.

Within what is a completely CG video, the game’s hero is shown fighting against some sort of a devil dog, in a decaying arena location. There’s really very little to see here, though, as the teaser trailer’s runtime is a mere twenty-three seconds.

With Risen 3: Titan Lords — the follow-up to Risen 2: Dark Waters — developer Piranha Bytes and publisher Deep Silver have decided to go back to the series’ roots, by reintroducing a medieval world that just so happens to be both godless and inhabited by titans. It’s said that the return of the familiar world — which appeared in the series’ debut — will allow for improved storytelling and an increased amount of focus on character development.

Risen 3: Titan Lords will slay its titans this August, which is when it will be released for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
