Rotastic Swings Into Action On XBLA

Rotastic Swings Into Action On XBLA

Remember the hours you sank into games like Peggle or Plants Vs. Zombies? Anybody who has been searching for their next addiction can rest easy now that Dancing Dots’ Rotastic has been released on XBLA.

Gamers are simply tasked with swinging from point to point with the push and release of a single button while trying to collect jewels around the stage. This simple premise is built upon by featuring levels that pit you against other characters, dare you stay alive, and offer many other types of variety.

Check out the press release and release trailer below, and be sure to look out for my review coming soon!

We have the pleasure to share with you the launch trailer of Rotastic, as the game releases today on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for a mere 800 MS points. This is the best way to give you a taste of Rotastic, its original mechanics and its addicting gameplay that proves to be as much fun in solo or multiplayer.

Rotastic innovates with a one-button gameplay mechanic that’s both fun and accessible for all types of players. Navigating each course is quite simple – press any button to hook your rope to the nearest anchor point, spin around, gather momentum and release the button to fly from point to point. While the controls are dead-simple, Rotastic features a wide range of levels and gameplay to challenge your skills! Various goals include collecting gems, escaping deadly traps, battling other players, smashing bricks, perfecting acrobatics, smashing chickens and flying through speed-runs! The solo campaign features nearly 70 levels through 7 worlds, offering hours of swing ‘n’ fling fun. Replayability is another big feature; do you have what it takes to earn a gold helmet on each course? Pit your skills against your friends, and climb up in the official worldwide leaderboard!

Rotastic releases today on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for 800 MS points. The game will release on PlayStation® Network and for download on PC in early 2012.
