The world of Azeroth is set to expand once again. A rumored name for the next World of Warcraft expansion has popped up, which is sure to set fans into a frenzy as they plan the ways they’ll spend hundreds of hours inside of its quest-filled content.

According to a report from MMO Champion, Blizzard has filed a trademark for the name Mists of Pandaria. They didn’t confirm that it’s the name of the game’s fourth expansion, but it’s very likely considering the fact that this is how the gaming giant has previously procured the titles for its expanded content packs. This specific trademark (filed on July 28) specifies that it is for “computer game software.”

For the uninitiated, the Pandarens are one of the lighthearted races in the storied franchise, coming from a secret empire deep within Azeroth. Their use of kung fu panda bears is certainly quite interesting. However, even though they’re fan favourites, the race has been seldom seen in World of Warcraft. Though Blizzard has used them in some of their April Fool’s Day jokes. It’s certainly a great name with an interesting race behind it.

Hopefully we’ll learn more soon, which we’ll pass on to you. Let us know what you think in the comments. It’s assumed that, if you’re a World of Warcraft fanatic, you’ll have a hard time keeping your excitement in after reading this.
