Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien Hits PlayStation 4 On February 23

Rhythm action platformer Runner2: Future Legend Of Rhythm Alien (yes, it’s a mouthful) arrives on PlayStation 4 this February, developer Choice Provisions has announced. Originally released in 2013 for Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Runner2 fans have been clamouring for a current-gen re-release on PlayStation 4 even “before the console even hit the market,” said associate producer Dant Rambo on the announcement post.

Never heard of Runner2? Shame on you, the indie title is a fantastic – and bonkers – platformer that tasks you with traversing its many stages and world while dancing along to its catchy tunes in tandem.

The upcoming release means that every entry in the Runner series will be available collectively on PS4 and PlayStation Vita. Rambo has also confirmed that the game will support Sony’s cross-buy feature.

I have no idea how we managed to keep it a secret until now, but Bit.Trip Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is making its way to PS4 on February 23rd. With The Bit.Trip collection having also just been released, this means that all entries in the Bit.Trip series are finally available on PS4 and PS Vita!

Those of you who already own Runner2 on PS Vita will be pleased to hear that the PS4 version is going to be cross buy, meaning you get it free of charge. And for those who will be picking it up for the first time, you’ll be able to do so for $9.99.

Like what you see? Runner2: Future Legend Of Rhythm Alien releases on PlayStation 4 February 23. If you want the full experience, we recommend you get some good quality headphones so you can jam along with its catchy tunes. You won’t regret it!
