Will The New Scribblenauts Game Feature DC Heroes And Villains?

Who doesn't love the Scribblenauts franchise? It's wildly successful and a ton of fun to play. Personally, I'm a big fan of what developer 5th Cell has done with these games and that's why I'm thrilled to hear that they are working on a new title for the franchise that is rumoured to include DC Heroes and Villains.

Who doesn’t love the Scribblenauts franchise? It’s wildly successful and a ton of fun to play. Personally, I’m a big fan of what developer 5th Cell has done with these games and that’s why I’m thrilled to hear that they are working on a new title for the franchise that is rumoured to include DC Heroes and Villains.

Currently in development for the 3DS, PC and Wii U, the game will supposedly feature our trusty hero Maxwell as he comes to the aid of DC’s most iconic characters.

IGN reports that the game will make an appearance at E3 2013 and that it will include Batman, The Joker, Aquaman and Mr. Freeze. They go on to say that the game currently has the title Scribblenauts: Unmasked attached to it and that it will include levels where you must get by certain villains to save the hero. Apparently there will be a level “set underneath Wayne Manor where players have to get past Killer Croc, with the help of Robin, in order to gain access to Wayne Manor proper and the Batcave.”

There will also be a scenario in which “Max encounters two police officers, and must decipher which one is legit and which is actually Clayface. An X-ray exposes the villain, and when handcuffs fail to stop the sludge-monster, a freeze-gun does the trick.”

Though this is just a rumor, it does make sense seeing as DC Comics and Scribblenauts are both included in the Warner Bros. family. That aside, this just seems like a match made in heaven. I mean, why has no one thought of this before? It sounds like 5th Cell is up to some pretty exciting stuff with their new game and as a longtime fan of the series, I simply cannot wait to see how this one turns out.
