After a brief introduction via a new antagonist, the game’s hero – Rico – quickly appears and starts laying waste to General Di Ravello’s forces. Fans will get a welcome glimpse at the protagonist’s explosive arsenal or weapons, as well as some familiar gadgets like the grapple gun.

Expanded features like extended aerial sequences and environments that appear to be more destructive than ever will be immensely pleasing for any existing fans of the series, and may just turn the heads of a few newcomers as well.

Avalanche’s assertion that Just Cause 3 will feature the “most explosive sandbox ever made” are certainly looking to be well justified as the trailer draws to a close, with Rico taking down some of his largest targets to date in an impressive finale. It all appears to be quite impressive, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the game once it launches.

Just Cause 3 will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 1st, when players will be invited to dive in and “set the world on fire.”
