Alex Tintor, founder and creative director at the small-scale company, spoke of his admiration for the PlayStation fans and how they influenced the studio’s decision to bring the revered horror title to PS3:

“Over the past two years we’ve gotten literally thousands of messages from Playstation fans asking us to bring the game to PS3. We knew it would be a lot of hard work, but we totally agreed. The ultimate Slender Man experience had to be from the comfort of your living room on a big screen TV.”

Billed as the continuation of Mark Hadley’s eerie and spine-chilling viral hit, Slender: The Eight Pages, Blue Isle Studios’ first-person horror title originally released through Steam in October of last year. However, in the transition to the console space, the company is promising the definitive horror experience.

In addition, Tintor also confirmed that the console versions of the game will include two all-new “flashback levels” that place you in the shoes of two unfortunate victims (yikes!). As for those who already purchased the game on PC, users can expect the aforementioned new content to be added into the game via a future update.

Slender: The Arrival will creep onto PlayStation 3 on September 23rd, 2014.
