Prepare to be surprised. Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee has confirmed his addition in Beenox‘s The Amazing Spider-Man video game as more than a simple NPC. After all, he’s briefly featured in just about every movie based on one of his created characters. Now, the public relations specialist will be a playable character for the first time. That should make comic book fans squeal with glee.

This news was revealed at the London Super Comic Convention, where Lee was interviewed by Addict of Fiction. However, in-depth details were not provided. Perhaps he’s available as an unlockable skin? That makes the most sense at least.

The Amazing Spider-Man will swing onto retail store shelves on June 26.
