Starhawk, Sony‘s multiplayer heavyweight, is supposed to be out soon. According to an announcement on the PlayStation Blog, it’ll be out just in time for the college kids to waste away the summer with.

The magic date is May 8. That’s when gamers hungry for the oddly satisfying mix of shooter and strategy will be available wherever you get your video games.

As a reminder, the PlayStation Blog mentions that the public beta has officially begun the rolling out process. PlayStation Plus subscribers and those who were in the private beta can get in now, with more people to follow in the coming weeks (see the complete schedule here).

I’m actually quite excited about this. As a person who played the Hell out of Warhawk when it was a thing, as well as someone who was pleasantly surprised by the private beta, I can’t wait to get my hands on the full game.

What say you, gamers? Are you in the beta? I’ll see you on the battlefield!
