Curve Studios has formally announced that Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones — the sequel to 2013’s multi-platform hit that is exclusive to Wii U — will launch on Nintendo’s home console on October 23rd, 2014.

Forgoing the linear level structure of its predecessor, it’s understood that Stealth Inc. 2 will open up the excruciating world of PTi Industries so that players can explore the factory in a Metroidvania fashion. The sequel will also feature co-op elements, with another player able to utilise the Wii U gamepad to conceal another player as they creep gingerly between the shadows.

Alas, it took many people by surprise when Curve Studios confirmed that the follow-up would only be available on Wii U; especially given that Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark made its way onto a plethora of platforms including iOS and Android. Nevertheless, the company is yet to officially confirm whether A Game of Clones is a timed exclusive or not, so those ardent stealth fans holding out for a multi-platform release may be in luck further down the line.

Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones will launch exclusively for Wii U on October 23rd, 2014. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on Curve Studios’ commitment to Nintendo’s console in the comments section below.
