Prepare thy wallet; Valve has officially kicked off the annual Steam summer sale, with scores of discounts across The Witcher 3, DOOM and more.

Offering up the usual barrage of enticing deals up until July 4 at 10am PDT, Valve’s Summer Picnic Sale breaks away from tradition in that it doesn’t list a series of daily deals or flash sales; instead, the storefront will be packed with a selection of highlighted deals, which will presumably be refreshed each day.

What’s more, Steam users will be able to encounter free trading cards peppered across different sale items, and you’ll be to collect three per day.

In terms of the most enticing offers currently available, Valve has knocked 40 percent off DOOM, while CD Projekt Red’s critically-adorned The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can be picked up at half price until June 4. Here’s a rundown of the super cheap offerings: Hotline Miami 2 ($3.74) Undertale ($6.99), Space Engineers ($7.49), Hand of Fate ($7.49) Outlast ($4.99).

Tell us, will you be breaking the piggy bank in anticipation of the Steam Picnic Sale? Or is their one game in particular that you have your eye on? Leave your thoughts below.
