Before the end of December, European players of Super Mario Maker will be able to get hold of some brand new event costumes. Two tweets posted by the European Twitter account for Nintendo confirmed the upcoming unlockables, as well as revealing the release dates for both as being Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, respectively.

The first update will allow you to get your hands on a cool Captain Toad costume by unlocking the new Super Mario Maker event course, while the second will grant you access to Birdo and Excitebike costumes via two NES Remix courses.

These European updates come just a week after Nintendo released some exclusive Earthbound in Japan, so players in North America may be next in line to get some new costumes for their Super Mario Maker games.
