The description for Dark Brotherhood on the official ESO website details what sorts of uncouth activities you’ll be involving yourself in when the update hits. Check it out in full below:

The Dark Brotherhood is looking for a few good killers. Explore the Gold Coast and discover if you have what it takes to join the ranks of Tamriel’s master assassins in the Dark Brotherhood DLC game pack. From the port city of Anvil to the Great Cathedral of Kvatch, the business of the Brotherhood consists of murder and mayhem—and business is good! Join the Brotherhood, enter the Sanctuary, and accept your first contract from the mysterious Speaker. Kill well, assassin!

The Dark Brotherhood faction has always traditionally been a faction that encourages a more sinister type of play in the Elder Scrolls games, tasking the player with indulging in the darker side of the series  – murder, sacrifice and sleuthing, to name just a few – and this iteration of the cult seems to be no different.

See below for all of the new features on the way as part of the update.

A Covenant of Blood and Shadows
Join the merciless Dark Brotherhood of the Gold Coast, prowling in the shadows cast by the two great powers of the region. Though at the height of their power, the Dark Brotherhood faces a grave threat in the form of a mysterious black-armored warrior capable of bringing down their best agents. Venture forth for another exciting chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online as you carve a bloody swath across Tamriel in the name of the Dark Brotherhood!

Explore the Gold Coast
The westernmost region of Cyrodiil, the Gold Coast, was last seen by Elder Scrolls players in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Come explore the cities of Anvil and Kvatch during the Interregnum, when the region is awash in intrigue and deadly conspiracies!

Murder for Profit
Sometimes the best way to deal with a troublesome person is permanent removal. As a Dark Brotherhoodassassin, you’ll be tasked to fill that need. From simple assassination contracts to killing sprees on the blood-soaked streets of Tamriel’s sprawling cities, carve your path into the good graces of the Dark Brotherhood. The truly skilled may engage in special missions at the behest of their dark masters and fulfill a Black Sacrament, slaying a victim named by the Night Mother herself.

New Assassins’ Passive Skills
This all-new skill line relates to murdering citizens and allowing the Shadows of Sithis to protect you from suffering consequences. Because those deaths were sanctioned by Sithis, you are the hand of the Void; you are the embodiment of death itself. The rules of Justice are for those bound by Nirn, not those who are directed by the ideals of Sithis.

Dark Brotherhood-Exclusive Rewards and Items
Earn new items through in-game quests and browse Dark Brotherhood-themed items coming to the Crown Store soon.

If you’re one of those types that just can’t wait like everyone else to play the new content, it’s available to check out now on The Elder Scrolls Online‘s public test server, but obviously, you need to be on PC to access that. Console players will just have to make do with the first look trailer above.

Dark Brotherhood will be available to download on release day at no extra cost for ESO Plus members. Alternatively, the DLC can be purchased from the Crown Store for 2,000 crowns.
