If you have followed along with previous episodic games from the development team at Telltale Games, you are likely aware that their release date and scheduling structure is entirely random, erratic, and seemingly subject to change at any moment. So far, we have waited roughly four months to play Episode two of The Wolf Among Us; the longest gap ever during an episodic series from Telltale Games. Thankfully, the studio has assured us that this was a one-time occurrence and that the other episodes will arrive on a bi-monthly basis, swiftly and smoothly as planned.
Today, we have news regarding Telltale’s other white-hot franchise, The Walking Dead, which is set to see the second episode of its second season released very soon, according to a tweet from the official Telltale Games Twitter account. Episode two of The Wolf Among Us is slated for this week, so don’t expect The Walking Dead‘s second episode to drop on digital stores immediately, but a safe assumption would be sometime within the week of February 11-17.
As far as The Walking Dead is concerned, the first installment of its second series was an engaging return, as players were introduced to a host of new survivors after stepping into the shoes of Clementine. However, it also ended with one hell of a cliffhanger, with the promo hinting at a returning character previously thought to be dead. From here on out, it’s surely only to get more emotionally investing, gripping and riveting. We can’t wait.
Season 2 of The Walking Dead is available on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It retails for $5 an episode or $20 for the Season Pass.
