It appears that the exploits of Geralt of Riva are going to look better than ever as CD Projekt RED debuted a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at tonight’s VGX Awards Show that showcased some rather impressive graphical work.

For those not familiar with the franchise, it is an open world, role-playing venture that is particularly known for its excellent combat engine and superb storyline. While it may not be as popular as fellow fantasy based franchise The Elder Scrolls, The Witcher has arguably achieved the same amount of praise.

This new trailer gives us a brief glimpse at the big bad of the game, but mostly focuses on showing off the smooth combat and beautiful graphics. Harnessing the power of the new REDengine 3, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is arguably the most impressive looking title of 2014.

I was a huge fan of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings back when it was released on the Xbox 360 in 2012, so suffice to say, I’m pretty excited for this next entry. CD Projekt RED has been doing very impressive work for some time now and perhaps The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will help the company reach a new level of popularity.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to release in 2014 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. We will continue to have coverage of the title in the coming months.

Do you think CD Projekt RED had the most impressive showing at VGX tonight? Check out the trailer and let us know in the comments section below.
