Activision’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows has received a new trailer that highlights the skills and abilities of one of the most energetic of the turtle brethren, Michelangelo.

The gameplay video gives fans an early look at what to expect once they tie his infamous orange mask around their imaginary turtle skulls. Michelangelo’s fighting style exemplifies a higher level of grace as he effortlessly executes flare kicks that land with precision on an unfortunate enemy’s head. It’s clear that Mikey is going to be the fastest character as he implements an elaborate display of technical ability through his unique combat style.

Michelangelo’s fighting abilities reminds me of a mix between traditional Capoeira and breakdancing. Luckily, they seem to go hand-in-hand considering the musical rhythms underlying both of them.

Oh, you aren’t familiar with Capoeira? Then you should check out this trailer for one of the most underrated guilty pleasure films of all time, Only The Strong. I picture Michelangelo absorbing the moves as he forces the rest of the turtles to sit and watch the film as they gobble down slice after slice of pizza.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is set to arrive this summer on the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and Steam. Be sure to leave us your thoughts on Michelangelo’s distinct fighting style in the comments below!
