Apparently, the hundreds of costume options for Lightning to choose from in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII just weren’t enough, as Square Enix has announced today that a special Tomb Raider costume DLC package will be arriving next week.
Joining the previously revealed pre-order costumes and costume for completing the recently released demo, this costume download will outfit Lightning in a similar garb to what Lara Croft wore during 2013’s Tomb Raider. Brandishing the Survivor’s Axe and Riot Shield, Lightning will now have even more options for defeating the multitude of enemies littered throughout the game’s world.
As someone who is currently playing through Lightning Returns, let me tell you, there is no such thing as having too many outfits. Being able to switch between the different outfits and the schemas they come with is the biggest addition to the combat system and is one of the best features of the title.
Gamers can download the Tomb Raider costume pack when Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII launches on February 11th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Anybody interested in having Lightning cosplay as Lara Croft for a little bit? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
