Ubisoft Soft Launches Tactical Card Game Rabbids Heroes In Canada

Clearly wanting to emulate the success of Blizzard’s Hearthstone, Ubisoft has created its own ‘tactical’ card game based on spinoff Rayman series Raving Rabbids and it’s available to play right now in Canada as part of a soft launch. Ubisoft describes Rabbids Heroes as a “fast-paced tactical card game” that excels at giving players “unpredictable and epic one-to-one matches against real players!” and is expected to roll out in other territories shortly.

See below for the full description (via VideoGamer).

Step into the arena for fast-paced duels in this tactical card game. Choose your play style, equip your hero with crazy weapons, items and stances to strike your opponent with smashing card combos. Enter the Rabbids’ fantasy world, gather on the Moonolith to take part in a fighting tournament to reach the moon and enter the legend. Pick a Rabbid hero and join the fight for unpredictable and epic one-to-one matches against real players!

Despite having cards that look strikingly similar to Blizzard’s own CCG in design, Rabbis Heroes‘ (judging from the trailer) gameplay seemingly differs wildly, appearing to have an interactive board rather than a static one. It certainly looks far less serious. Watch the trailer above to make your own mind up in regards to whether the bizarre genre mash-up works.
