Following the events of the Ties That Bind: Part Two, new protagonist Javier has found himself struggling to find a role in his newly-reunited family, says Telltale, while on other fronts, friendly communication is beginning to break down in the community of Richmond. As Javier and the rest of his group arrive at the gates of the walled-off establishment, long-running character Clementine will be forced to decide whether to help or turn against Javier.

You can see the trailer for yourselves above which, interestingly, makes reference to another community – The Kingdom. As fans of the comic or TV show will know, the deceptively-named location is a friendly settlement headed by King Ezekiel, a well-meaning former zookeeper who has a pet tiger, Shiva. Telltale has before included references to the source material in its episodic series, including featuring Glenn in one of Season One’s initial episodes, so it’ll be interesting to see if it intends to nurture the connection with more cameos.

If you’ve been holding off on jumping in with Season Three due to not having played the first two, Telltale says that you don’t need to have experienced those to enjoy its latest efforts, although if you’d rather do so, you’ll be able to pick up the second season for free on Xbox One throughout April.
