Kicking off with a two-part premiere entitled “The Ties That Bind,” up above we’re introduced to a character named Javier. According to Telltale, throughout the course of season 3 we’ll “witness how the beginning of the zombie plague affected him and his family before we move forward in time to years later, where he encounters a very familiar face…” That familiar face is, of course, Clementine, the hardened survivor who’s been evading the undead since the very beginning.

Here’s the official teaser for A New Frontier, courtesy of Telltale:

“When family is all you have left… how far will you go to protect it? Four years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier? As Javier, a young man determined to find the family taken from him, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss. Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.”

The Walking Dead will step foot on A New Frontier with “The Ties That Bind.” It’ll release in two parts, both of which will be available on all platforms from December 20. Elsewhere, The Game Awards 2016 also brought confirmation of Telltale’s episodic spin on Guardians of the Galaxy. Look for that one to premiere in 2017.
