In an announcement through the company’s official website, Dinosaurum Games confirmed today that Without Memory, a third-person thriller in the vein of Quantic Dreams’ psychological pairing, Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain, is in development exclusively for PlayStation 4.

Channeling the power of Unreal Engine 4, Without Memory represents the first major property from the Moscow-based studio, and will put players in the mind of Anna — a young girl who wakes up in the middle of the woods with, you guessed it, no memory.

Similarly to those aforementioned PlayStation exclusives, Without Memory has been billed as a narrative driven experience, one which will force players to make trying decisions that will no doubt have repercussions on the remainder of the story. Moreover, Dinosaurum Games aims to revamp the traditional quick-time event by introducing a “modernized” take on the age-old game mechanic.

Of course, what this means exactly remains to be seen. In tandem with the announcement, the studio also published an array of concept art that offers us a brief glimpse at the nascent visual style that Dinosaurum Games is concocting. For now, though, we’ll just have to bid our time until more information regarding the studio’s abstract title is released.

And while it’s nice to finally see titles being drafted onto PlayStation 4’s somewhat scare line-up of exclusives, the company also stated that Without Memory isn’t likely to see the light of day until 2016.
