World Of Warships Opens Its Waters To All As It Enters Open Beta

First there were tanks, then came planes. Now though, we have giant warships of destruction to wage war with.

World Of Warships is the third massively-multiplayer online title to come from developer Wargaming, and the game has now entered open beta for all to try out ahead of release. It’s about time, too – the closed beta for the oceanic warfare title recorded huge numbers and surpassed even Wargaming’s expectations, so said the developer’s development director Daniil Volkov:

World of Warships’ Closed Beta was incredibly successful, surpassing even our high expectations. We saw nearly half a million players spending an average of two hours in-game every day. From the positive and enthusiastic feedback we received, we are pleased to now welcome even more players into the Open Beta and can’t wait to hear their thoughts about the game. We believe that World of Warships has a very bright future ahead and is a fantastic addition to our famed series.

Along with the arrival of the open beta comes a huge dump of new content, too. Over 80 warships and 10 maps being made available for the open beta.

There’s no release date yet for the title, but stay tuned for more information and let us know what your first impressions of World Of Warships are in the comments below.
