Wargaming’s popular World Of Tanks enters open beta for the PlayStation 4 on December 4, developer Wargaming has announced. Running from December 4-6, all PlayStation 4 owners will have the chance to try out the massively-multiplayer tank warfare on offer if they haven’t already played it on PC or Xbox One.
However, even if you’re an existing player on other platforms, Wargaming are offering plenty of incentives to try out this version. Those who participate in the beta will be awarded with an exclusive PlayStation 20th Anniversary M22 Locust US light tank, featuring the classic PlayStation grey colour scheme. Additionally, two brand new, time exclusive maps – Ruinberg and Scorpion Pass – will be made available during the beta period.
Wargaming said the following as part of the announcement:
Wargaming is excited to be working with Sony to bring World of Tanks to a new audience with PlayStation 4, said TJ Wagner, executive producer at Wargaming. “The platform allows us to develop World of Tanks like never before with custom features and functionality such as PlayStation Vita Remote Play, and we are thrilled to start rolling the game out to Sony tankers worldwide.
There’s currently no date set for a full release of World Of Tanks for PlayStation 4, but you can be sure to expect more news once the beta has concluded.
