Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One Media Remote will be available worldwide for the Xbox One this March. Although full pricing details have yet to be announced, we do know that the remote will carry a cost of $24.99 in North America.

Since Microsoft wants the Xbox One to be the only media device you will ever need, it only makes sense that they would release a swanky remote for the console. Through the Media Remote, users will be able to not only play Blu-Ray discs and access online streaming content, but will also be able to control their television’s power and audio through the use of the Kinect’s infrared blaster. The Media Remote will also feature a OneGuide button that will activate the system’s TV app with just a single press.

If all of that wasn’t enough, the buttons on the remote will also light up upon being touched, which you can see in action via the power of Vine below.

While the Xbox One already features a plethora of options when it comes to issuing commands, a specialized remote is always welcome. Some people just don’t like shouting at their system in order to access certain features, so the release of this Media Remote will make it easier for them to access the system’s video options without having to pick up a controller.

The Xbox One Media Remote will be available starting March 4.
