Xbox One’s Games With Gold Lineup For June Includes Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed III

Just as Microsoft did with Star Wars for last month's selection of Games With Gold titles, it looks as if June is going to be adopting another running theme, although this time, there's a distinct Ubisoft flavor to the proceedings. Both Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed III are all set to be two of your four free games throughout the first month of summer, offering plenty of opportunities for cyber-sleuthing and historical assassination, respectively.

As usual, the monthly platter of free entertainment is split between both of Microsoft’s consoles, with two games provided for each. Those still happy with their 360s will only have access to Assassin’s Creed III and BioWare’s Dragon Age: Origins, while Xbox One owners get the lot. Check out the entirely of June’s selected titles and their dates of availability below.

  • Speed Runners – June 1-30 (Xbox One)
  • Watch Dogs – June 16-July 15 (Xbox One)
  • Assassin’s Creed III – June 1-15 (Xbox 360 & Xbox One)
  • Dragon Age: Origins – June 16-30 (Xbox 360 & Xbox One)
  • Phantom Dust DLC June 1-30

As an added bonus for all Gold Members this month, Microsoft’s also giving away a free batch of DLC for its recent Xbox One and Windows 10 re-release of Phantom Dust, which is usually adorned with a $14.99 price tag. Even if you’re not yet a proud owner of the cult favorite, it might be a good idea to grab the content, just in case you’re ever inclined to give it a shot.

As for this month’s Games With Gold lineup, all but Star Wars The Force Unleashed II are still available to download for nothing, but only until the cut-off date of May 31. If you’ve yet to secure any of them, be sure to boot up your console, post-haste!
