2011 MTV Movie Awards Recap

Ah yes, the MTV Movie Awards, an awards show where Zac Efron can compete against Taylor Lautner for Best Actor, a place where you can grope Mila Kunis' breasts and get away with it, and a place where you can watch Inception scenes set to Katy Perry music. Or even better, Inception scenes set to Wiz Khalifa tunes! Ah the MTV Movie Awards, there's just nothing quite like them eh?

Ah yes, the MTV Movie Awards, an awards show where Zac Efron can compete against Taylor Lautner for Best Actor, a place where you can grope Mila Kunis‘ breasts and get away with it, and a place where you can watch Inception scenes set to Katy Perry music. Or even better, Inception scenes set to Wiz Khalifa tunes! Ah the MTV Movie Awards, there’s just nothing quite like them eh? Let’s see how they were, shall we?

Host Jason Sudeikis did an alright job but it was a bit overkill with the Schwarzenegger jokes. He had a few good lines but some of the stuff was just awful, like the songs bit where he sang about the different films. I mean, did anyone laugh at that? And then there was the bit with the guy dressed as a rock. I can’t think of anything stupider, it was also in poor taste. In fact, I almost turned it off at that point. Oh, and who can forget the laser boner joke? See that’s the point where I actually did turn it off.

At least the musical performances were good. We got Lupe Fiasco and Foo Fighters both performing some of their new stuff and both artists did pretty well. There two of my favorites so I was very pleased to see them. Aside from that though, the show was dull, uninspired and lame, like usual.

Check out the full list of winners below.

Best Male Performance – Robert Pattinson in Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Considering his competition included Zac Efron and Taylor Lautner, this doesn’t mean much.

Best Scared As Shit Performance – Ellen Page in Inception

Best Villain – Tom Felton in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Best Fight – Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Most Jaw Dropping Moment – Justin Bieber singing a song in Never Say Never

I mean, I guess that makes sense right?

Best Kiss – Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Twilight Saga: Eclipse

MTV Generation Award – Reese Witherspoon

Best Line From A Movie – Alexys Nycole Sanchez in Grown Ups (I wanna get chocolate wasted)

Could be the cutest kid ever.

Best Female Performance – Kristen Stewart in Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Um, did they even see Natalie in Black Swan?

Best Comedic Performance – Emma Stone in Easy A

Best Film – Twilight Saga: Eclipse

*yawn*

Well, that does it for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. Nothing too exciting and nothing really worth watching. Although, if you missed the new Twilight trailer that was shown, fear not!
