It is fair to say that the reaction to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has been decidedly mixed. A lot of the criticism directed at the movie is to do with how overstuffed it is. Apart from the smash-up between the two titular heroes, BvS also has subplots for Lois Lane, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor and a big CGI monster. Oh, and it also has to set up the other metahumans for their starring roles in the Justice League.
It is understandable, then, that there are many questions still unanswered by the time the credits roll (and, yes, a question many people had after watching was “what the hell were DC thinking?”).
