8) What Caused Wonder Woman To Disappear?

This question isn’t as pressing as some of the others as we probably only have to wait a year until we get our answer. Right now, though, we don’t know the full story, so it still deserves to be asked.

Despite being caught on camera during the WWI, Wonder Woman was not seen again for the rest of the 20^th century. She explains to Bruce Wayne at the end of the movie that she retreated from Man’s World due to its cruelty – she only turned up now to investigate Luthor’s snooping around in her past.

But what exactly was the event that caused Diana to retire from being a superhero for a full century? No doubt we will find out the answer to this in the WW1-set Wonder Woman solo movie coming in 2017, but for now, we’re left to, um, wonder.
