We’re fast approaching the due date of Legendary’s maiden trailer for Warcraft: The Beginning, and on the eve of release, the studio has rolled out a pair of character posters allowing you to get up close and personal with two of the leading stars from both sides of the age-old divide between humans and Orcs.

Arriving on the back of yesterday’s all-too-brief teaser, the pair of one-sheets spotlight Toby Kebbell and Travis Fimmel’s characters, who will rub shoulders with Duncan Jones’ sprawling cast as Durotan (the brooding red orc) and Anduin Lothar (the steely blue human), respectively.

Given that the two character stills are essentially a more complete version of the film’s official poster, there’s not much more that we can pull from the new images in terms of plot. And that’s okay, really, considering that tomorrow Legendary will summon the full-length trailer, showcasing much more of Westfall, Stormwind and hopefully more of the actual tussle between the humans and the orcs.

Starring alongside Kebbell and Fimmel in Warcraft: The Beginning are Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, Travis Fimmel as Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, and Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, and on the side of The Horde is Clancy Brown as Blackhand, Toby Kebbel as Durotan, Robert Kazinsky as Ogrim, and Daniel Wu as Gul’Dan.

Tomorrow, Legendary will swing open the mighty doors to Azeroth with tomorrow’s full-length trailer for Warcraft: The Beginning, before Duncan Jones’ live-action feature debuts in full on June 10, 2016. We’ll have full coverage of the footage as soon as it roars online, but until then, you can get acquainted with Durotan and Anduin Lothar via the gallery below.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
